Rochester Fine Art is owned/operated by Andre Rochester, a Fine Artist, Curator, and Arts Advocate from the Greater Hartford region of Connecticut. Andre’s artwork makes statements for which words may not be enough, highlighting underlying emotions connected to his subjects. It is a combination of portraiture and conceptual works linked by narratives of his own experiences. His art is a tool for healing and a catalyst for connection-letting people know they are not alone.

"Art is a catalyst for dialogue that leads to action. We see. We feel. We think. We discuss. We act. Life is a roller coaster of lessons learned, breaking down barriers and overcoming adversity. We find our purpose through these experiences, and with that purpose, we add meaning to the world in which we live. I also believe it is an artist’s obligation to promote social awareness by cultivating an environment for commentary and idea sharing.

It is important that viewers connect with the art as well as each other. For me, art is a way to make statements that may otherwise go unheard. It is a way to express feelings for which we may not easily find the right words to describe. My art is a connecter of people, powered by my personal desire for progress."
